The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association Hires Cap67 to Boost their Agenda in Washington, DC
AMFA is the Only Independent Mechanics’ Union and Represents the Maintenance Technicians at Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Horizon Air, Spirit Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Capitol67 Strategies, LLC (Cap67) has signed The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA), a craft-specific, independent aviation union that represents only aircraft maintenance technicians/engineers and skilled trade employees actively involved in the aviation industry. AMFA was created in 1962 but did not represent any carrier until 1964 at Ozark Airlines.
Cap67 is a recently launched government affairs firm in Washington, DC and Harrisburg, PA co-founded by longtime political experts Keith Pemrick, Andrew Robreno, and Jane Clements. Cap67 will assist AMFA in carrying out its legislative, regulatory, and political agenda in Washington, DC.
"AMFA is excited to continue our work in Washington, DC with our new partners, Capitol67 Strategies,” stated Bret Oestreich, AMFA National President. “Having worked with Keith for the past decade, AMFA has advanced significant policy achievements on behalf of our craft, including evening the playing field with background checks and drug and alcohol testing of mechanics at foreign repair stations, as well as improving oversight and standards at these foreign repair stations. Bringing Andrew on board, we value his knowhow and strong network as we look to build on our successes with the new Administration.”
“We are extremely grateful to Bret and AMFA for entrusting Cap67 with their needs in DC,” said Keith Pemrick, Cap67 Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “I had the privilege of working with AMFA for the past ten years and through the last three FAA Reauthorization bills. Their commitment to their craft and aviation safety is of utmost significance, and I look forward to building on their victories in the most recent FAA bill to continue advancing their priorities.”
“AMFA has long been dedicated to advancing the interests of aviation maintenance professionals who are essential to ensuring the safety and integrity of our nation's air travel,” said Andrew Robreno, Cap67 Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “Representing such a dedicated group of professionals who ensure the safety of the aviation system every day is an honor and a privilege, and we welcome them into the Cap67 family.”
